Danone – Let’s Do Something Together for the Children! – 2004.
The company of Danone always paid special attention to children’s support. Today there are almost two thousand children in Hungary suffering from tumorous illnesses. According to the statistics, we are loosing three children out of ten. This sad number also indicates that fortunately seven will recover completely and survive this critical period of his or her life. In the case of child cancer, a child can be considered as fully recovered after the first five years. This is why Danone Ltd. decided to support the rehabilitation of children suffering from cancer again in 2004, similarly to the previous four years, within the frame of the “Let’s Do Something Together for the Children” program. The concert that was held at the Italian Institute in Budapest was an important event of these series of charity concerts, where the Debrecen Philharmonic Orchestra performed with conductor Philippe de Chalendar and with the participation of Eszter Horgas on flute.
